Great Determination

“Fairness in every competition must be done by the competitors. Thus, others do it vise versa.”

Intramural happened last week is still a mystery in one’s mind. JUNIORS or the 3rd year level was able to show their very best in the event and they present surprising numbers that amazed the teachers, students and even the judges. Teamwork courage and strong determination to win in the competition brought them confidence to face the competition as well as the ball games. Because of that it resulted to the JUNIORS to win in cheering and in ballroom dancing. 3rd year students almost got the awards and prizes in basketball by III-Rebekah, badminton by the III-Leah and III-Rebekah and volleyball by my beloved section III-Rachel. I belong to the first six of my team in volleyball. First I am glad that we have no lost. So we need to be beat by twice. We ask the commentator about that to confirm if it was true because my teammates and I were nervous in our next fight with IV-Solomon. But the commentator said to us “Kapag natalo na kayo dito sa IV-Solomon laglag na kayo. Wala na kayong susunod na laro.” So we think that was not fair. Before the game starts we forgot to pray. And we were near to be defeated by the 4th year in the 1st set. So during the time out we began to pray and dedicate the game to Him. Because of that we won in our match in the score of 3 out of 5 sets respectively. And we were able to enter the championship match with the lower levels. The next day, the championship was near already and the II-Isaiah will be our opponent. We ask questions again to the commentator for the clarifications of the game sets. And they said there were only 3 sets. We are shocked about what the commentator said. I said to my teammates “Championship ba yon? Tatlong sets lang? Kahapon sa Solomon 5 sets tapos sa II-Isaiah 3 sets lang. Grabe ha!” We just ignored about what biases done by them and I hope they will realize that they should not do it again.

And with the prayer in God we defeated the II-Isaiah and we become the champion in volleyball in the 26th Foundation Week of TUMCS. The greatest things I’ve learn in this intramural are being strong, willing to face the problems whether it is not too much complicated and have a great determination to survive.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
II Timothy 2:15
